A company in the petroleum industry invites a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position stated below:

Human Resource Assistant
The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resource Manager and monitoring the provision of general office support services.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • First degree in Human Resource Management or related studies
  • Certificate in Secretarial Studies or equivalent qualifications
  • Three (3) years experience as a Secretary or Administrative Assistant at a senior level in a Human Resource department.
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques:
  • Sound knowledge of the Jamaican Labour Laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Acceptable knowledge of office procedures and practices
  • Sound human relations skills
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound oral and written communication skills
  • Sound supervisory skills
  • Sound time management skills
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and relevant software applications including accounting, spreadsheet, and word-processing applications
